Jimmy Dennis is an innocent man on death row in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Jimmy was convicted in 1992 based solely on conflicting eyewitness testimony; only 3 out of dozens of witnesses were called to testify. Jimmy's description does not even match those given by witnesses. There is no murder weapon, no DNA or physical evidence, and no connection between Mr. Dennis and his alleged victim has ever been established. Jimmy had no motive and HAS ALWAYS MAINTAINED HIS INNOCENCE. At the time of the robbery and murder Jimmy was a member of promising R & B group Sensation, and had a promising future as a musician. In fact, his group practiced between 4-9 hours a day and Jimmy had a recording contract in the works.
Even more distressing is the fact that Jimmy had an alibi for the time of the murder and robbery which is supported by three people. The prosecution's only witnesses claiming he saw Jimmy with a gun on the night of the murder was facing charges for assaulting a pregnant woman. Not only were those charges dropped, but the witness recanted his testimony. All other members of Jimmy's group testified that they had never seen Jimmy with a gun. Over 26 witnesses, including Jimmy's pastor, testified to his good moral character at his trial.
